Non-Profit Collaboration Announced for National Mentoring Month

Feb. 11, 2019 (Stuart, FL): On January 15th, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County announced a partnership. Staff, supporters, and volunteers of both organizations gathered together at the Port Salerno Boys & Girls Club to celebrate the beginning of this partnership. “It’s a common sense collaboration,” Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County CEO, Keith Fletcher, explained. The goal of the relationship is to further enhance the lives of the children in the community.

This collaboration will allow Boys & Girls Clubs youth to be paired with an adult volunteer mentor through the Big Brothers Big Sisters community-based mentoring program. The efforts of the partnership will be focused on the children at the Port Salerno, Hobe Sound, and Indiantown Boys & Girls Clubs. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County will be coordinating guest speaker experiences at their clubs for the children and their mentors to attend together.

A special thank you is extended to the Stuart/Martin County Chamber of Commerce and their staff for their assistance in coordinating the announcement and continuous support of local businesses.
