Who We Are
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is one of the oldest mentoring organizations in the world. With over 100 years of experience providing children with trained and professionally screened caring adult mentors, we have become the Gold Standard in mentoring programs.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties was founded as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Martin County in 1986 to bring these proven programs to the Treasure Coast. In 2010 the Martin County agency expanded to include the Palm Beaches, creating an overall territory of over 2,000 square miles and a population of over 1.5 million residents.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties has been recognized for our fiscal responsibility, governance, program outcomes and community impact over and over again. In 2007, we were named in the top 35 of the 450 BBBS agencies nationwide. In 2009 and again in 2010, BBBS was named in the Top 100 Small Businesses in South Florida by Business Leader Magazine. Additionally, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America(BBBSA) named our CEO, Bill Bee, Top Small-sized Agency CEO for 2007.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties is proud to have a talented, experienced and caring staff that supports our programs and our volunteer matches every day.
We also have a motivated and caring Board of Trustees, as well as Martin County and Palm Beach County Advisory Boards that provide Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties the foundation and guidance required to provide the children in our community with our programs for many years to come.
